Had dinner with a few friends on Sunday night. I carpooled with Josh to the place called Bangkok House in Pandan Indah (actually I forgotten where it was even after Hairie took me there :p ). Anyway as usual great food, great friends make any dinner a blast :). Food was naturally good, as usual, and I was sweating so much, I forgotten to bring my gym towel along for dinner, to wipe all the sweat off my face. There were new and old faces, friend that I finally get to see in person (hey mr maguire :D) and new people who just come into the group. A facebook friend brought along his Indonesian friend to dinner. This fella already lived in Malaysia for 6 years and just gotten back from his kampung in Indonesia. He told me you could ride a ferry there. From Johor you can go to Batam and then take a 3 days bus trip to Surubaya... 3 DAYS ON A BUS!!!!..
Anyways he was a nice fella to chat with, a bit bashful but willing to communicate. I just remembered the last time I met these people for the first time. Nervous, excited and well nervous. I kept my cool and composure and just go along with the conversation. Laugh when people are laughing and listen when people are listening. Never try to get over friendly or over talkative unless the other party is doing the same. Its always good to have one person you know at the party but its nice to talk to those you never met before. It was nice. Another dinner, another gossip and another good night of fun. Thanks to all :). Oh yes there is no pictures :D, I was to busy sweating from eating the spicy food :D.
p.s we celebrated Josh's birthday today too with a cheesecake :D, yum!! Happy Birthday Josh :).
This is just recollection of the moments I face in life, you may think you know me when you are reading this, but this blog is only a fragment of the many personalities that can manifest in me

The Satay Dinner
Wahdi gave Kak Pinky a special and very intriguing present. I was actually baffled of what the food item was. They look like fuzzy pink hamburgers. Kak Pinky was sweet enough to split the food item to us. OMG! they were actually coconut candy sweets!! with melted chocolate marshmallow in the middle!!. WHOA!!! and coconut itself was pink!!!. So cool!! :D
This is Dr Dibah (I did not know she was a Dr until I read Ad's blog) she brought these really cute looking pink frosted cupcakes with the names of the guest that she got written on top.
They were so cute! Unlike other cupcakes I tried, these cupcakes had sweet frosting on top instead of just cream and butter frosting. YUM!!!. I enjoyed the night every much and it was nice meeting old and new friends. Thank god everything went well :D and there were no hiccups with the dinner :D.Friday, October 31, 2008

Makan-makan with friends :)
My good friend Amad has decided to open up a burger/roti john stall at Puchong Perdana, not far from his house. I came here after gym just to chat with him, "kacau2" his nephews who is working at his stall and to have my roti john with no mayo or beef burger with out mayo.
Amad let me on a little secret. The spices for roti john actually comes in a freeze dried powder form. So you just need eggs, and cooked meat to make the batter. Hmm this sounds great so that I could make it at home :).
On Saturday when I got Vivi tinted, I dragged Amad out to meet me at 101 mall for lunch. We had lunch at Kenny Rogers. I was intrigue with the Go Green Menu which basically adds a Cesar Salad or Garden Salad to its 1/4 roasted chicken plus one side lines with a muffin. I love Cesar salad because of the Romaine Lettuce and the croutons.
I think I better reduce my Oil Of Olay Total White usage. That stuff really does brightens up your dull dark skin.
Amad had a friend tagged along with us that day. D is blog shy so I had to delete his face. D is a nice guy, a bit shy at first but he is a good guy to hang out with.
During our Kenny Roger lunch, I said to Amad, why not we bring D to William. I been wanting to eat at William since Inah, Ziana, Abg BM and Dr Shah kept having dinner there :p. Besides I want to bring D to the William side. Muahahahah step into the William side my friends and you will never go back :D. Again our blog shy D, with his face deleted :D

Amad had a fever that night, but he insisted on going also to William. Both D and Amad were patient enough to wait for me at 11.30 to pick them up and drive them to Kelana Jaya, which is the location of William :D

Amad had the Chicken Chop Friend Rice, with black pepper sauce. YUM!!! very nice, I really liked this dish :).

D had the staple menu of any chicken lover, the chicken premium :)

I had the beef lasagna. The interesting is this is not lasagna with beef but instead its baked beef with lasagna because there is so much beef in it :)

Hey Dr Chen, you are not the only one with the orgasmic face when enjoying good food. Oooh baby, the generous mozzarella cheese and the juicy meatball beats any hotel lasagna. Oh yeah, my tongue had an orgasm from eating this and my body felt tingling all over :D

Amad and D has the privilege of being my first non family, non UPM friends to ride in my Viva. Anyone wants a ride in the "best for value", "fuel efficient" Viva ;). I love the comments people give when they ride in my Vivi. "WOW", "Hey its very spacious lah in here" "It feels like a Myvi, but narrower". He he, small on the outside, big on the inside :).

Very Late Dinner at William

As usual Uncle William has no menu, but those who come here often or blogs would literally memorize almost all the menu available. As I was telling them all the menu that was available at William, a couple at the next table listen in to my rantings and asked us for the special and the menu we were having. When they left, they ask if we could come again with them next time so that they know what to order (hey maybe, I should get a commission for telling almost all of the menu available in William :p). Anyways one of Amad's friends look exactly like Aizat from Akademi Fantasia. I was almost blurting out "Eh Aizat???" but I kept my big mouth shut and just act nothing happened, but I swear, he looked like Aizat before Aizat lost weight. It was very amusing for me. They were pleasant and friendly, it would be nice to hang out with them again :D

Hancock, The Real Superhero?
I got a haircut. I just cut it short on the side and back and have them thinned my hair at the top. Now I got two tone effect with my dark roots showing :D. A new style effortlessly
This has to be the most unique Kancil I have ever seen. The sport rims is one of the highlights, it covered almost the whole tires.
I went to Alamanda today with a new friend/blogger that I gotten to know of recently. Amad had a couple of rough months before which includes, family, financial and relationship problems, which made my problems seemed pale to his. I mean its better for us to talk about our problems that just letting it boil inside and kill us slowly. We had dinner at Pizza Hut to try out their new Pizza Hotdog. I quite like it the combination of a pizza, hot dogs and two type of topping. I am not fond of the relish they put on it but the mayonnaise and ketchup/chili sauce was excellent.
Ok, Amad and I went to see the premier of Hancock today at GSC Alamanda. Thank god I managed to get us tickets using the phone line so I don't' have to line up to get them. Anyways this was a story of your not so typical superhero. His name is Hancock. He can fly, he has super speed, he is virtually indestructible, immortality, and he has super strength. Hancock is also a drunk, has issues with anger plus he has no respect towards others. He was not very popular with the locals. This all changed when the PR whose life Hancock saved, tried to change Hancock life around so that he would be accepted into society. I would tell more but it would spoil the story. Well I don't read comics that much so I would say Hancock is a original story but I could be wrong. I mean Will Smith portraying as a person who is lonely, angry and misunderstood is phenomenal. You can see it in his face and body gesture. I mean you can see his emotionless face but gaze deeper into his eyes and you would feel his loneliness and how hurt deep inside he is. There was many parts of the movie that was funny, I was laughing so loud in the cinema and most of the jokes is slapstick so all of us could laugh at it. What ever you do, don't read professional reviews on this movie. I accidentally stumbled upon one so called professional movie critic and she said that the story make no sense because at one time Hancock was bulletproof but at another scene he got a gunshot wound. I bet the stupid bitch did not see the whole movie becausein the movie, they tell you when Hancock is most vulnerable. One grudge about this movie for me is that, there are some powers shown by the character in this movie that does not seem to be explained at all. Such as heat manipulation to make popcorn pops or the sudden weather changes. Other than that, I think this is the first Black Superhero on the big screen other than Storm from Xmen, if I am not mistaken. Plus the movie is not a direct ripoff from a comic or it could be from a comic or novel but not that popular yet. One thing I learned from this movie, everybody creates this shield so that we won't get hurt and show our emotions. We may act tough and seemed not care even though we are slowly dying inside or we may just pretend we are someone else just so that we could be happy. Sometimes the best way to love someone is to just let them go and let them be loved. I rate this movie 8/10. I hope for sequel because Will Smith makes a great hero. :D

Carlos Pavillion
I went to Pavillion to eat at this Mexican bar and grill restaurant at the Pavillion on Wednesday night. Arel was so kind to invite me along, because he loved the oysters here. I was stoked because I never eaten oyster before.
We started with a plate of fresh salad, with Romaine lettuce, purple lettuce (or is it cabbage), tomatoes and other crunchy veggies with Thousand Island Dressing.
There was tortilla chips, which is made from corn with cheese and jalapeno peppers. There was a guacamole dip and salsa dip too. Heavenly, I took generous scoop of the dips.
There was a plate of this potato stuffed with something very delicious :D
Chicken Faetas, is grilled chicken and other spices thrown in. I prefer it to be spicier :D
The entree of the night, raw, fresh oyster. I never had oyster before and just wolf it down with out knowing that you are supposed to squeeze the lemons and let the juice "cooked" the oyster. So fresh I felt like I was near the sea when eating it. Josh told me that if you add other food on the oyster it will enhanced the taste. True enough I was experimenting by putting all the other food to be eaten with the oysters. YUM!!!!

The there was these quadruplet dish consist of rice, beans, dips (salsa, guacamole, sour cream), and beef. I ate them with the pita bread provided.
I washed all that including the Mexican pizza and Tacos that I forgotten to take a picture of, with this virgin. A virgin margarita I think, but don't worry its a mocktail so its alcohol free. Its a lime lemon infused ice blended with salted rims. Quite nice. Thank you so much to Arel for treating this struggling grad student yg tak siap2 lagi keje dia yg prof dia tunggu jer masa utk dia sergah mamat ni yg terhegeh buat kerje yg lai 5 thn baru leh balas jasa Arel dan orang2 lain yg belanja dia. Also to Josh for driving me to Pavillion and then letting me drive the X trail back home. Not forgetting Hairie for introducing me to these people, it was a fun night for all of us I hope ;)

Kedai Makan William
I love Ribena so I ordered the Ribena ice blended with longans in them while Hairie and his mum shared this gigantic Ribena lychee. As you can see half of the mug is lychee, I love my ice blended Ribena with longan, better that 7 eleven sluppee (btw Ribena is a blackcurrant drink for those who never heard of the brand)
Hairie has this amazing, cheesy, large, juicy spaghetti cabonara with meatballs. OH MY GAWD!! the meatball is freakin huge, the taste was heavenly. Hairie gave it an A+.
Hairie ordered his mum the Nasi Goreng Ketam (Crab fried rice). Another shocking dish because it was so tall. No I am not kidding you never see fried rice this tall. There were like a soft shell crab, around 5 medium sized prawns, generous amount of fried crab meat all piled on top of a tom yam fried rice. You can really taste the tom yam in the fried rice. Something seafood lover should have
Then this, Chicken Premium, Dr Shah's favourite with a pandan chicken, 2 chicken sausage, 2 different kinds of chicken ham (i think the dark one is chicken..), some minced white chicken and a dollop of mash potato in the middle with a pool of gravy.
I had the specialty of the night, which is Lamb Shank with butter rice (I think it was shank.. dunno la forgot). The reason I forgot was that the lamb was HUGE!!!!! and the meat practically fell of the bone. The Dal curry was fabulous with generous amount of veggies. Even the well flavoured buttered rice had a couple of sweet cherry tomatoes hidden in it. I think the green stuff is the mint veggie thing that you have with Nan bread. I love this dish it was perfect. I give a 4.0 GPA :D
Dude I was SO FULL!!! the food was delicious, Hairie mum was charming character to be with. Many thanks to Hairie for showing me the way here and for treating us dinner. Hmm now which restaurant should I bring Hairie along to reply this fabulous meal.. (pssst we go to riverview nak and have all the butter prawns we wants, Muahahaaaa!!!! :D). Uncle William must be very happy that us bloggers are promoting his business, my laboratory friends (the human ones) wants to go this place too. Haiya.. rosak2 diet nih....

Mkn.,. finally :D
Yes Yes.. mkn, mkn besar, a big feast tonight with the abgs (bear, shah, ariel, heri, hamdi). Apparently I am the youngest of the bunch :D.
The sky looks clear today, even though it was quite hot in the afternoon :)
I got to see Kris at Abg Bear's house. Such a docile, gentle, caring kitten, Mira was just getting ready to pounced on this poor thing. A bit smelly though, I guess the mother did not teach the cat how to poop properly.
I finally get to go this Riverview restaurant that everyone has been talking about.
The food was so good, and the atmosphere was great. However the company I had with made it even more special.
