Impromptu Trip

It was another lazy Friday where everyone is waiting for the weekend to come, including myself. I was chatting with a friend as usual, when he suddenly popped the idea. Let's go to Melaka, like right now. I was like? What? I haven't packed yet. He said to just get up and leave now. It was crazy, it was impromptu, it was unplanned, it was perfect :D. So I went to Melaka with literally the clothes on my back.

I actually bought all that I needed in Melaka, so it was not so bad. We did the normal stuff such as jalan2 at Dataran Pahlawan, which is actually a nice shopping mall

Of course a photo at this huge red building that I totally forgotten what it was :p but I remember taking a picture here the last time I came here.

This was something that I haven't been in a while, a museum !! We visited a replica of the Malacca Palace where they house a museum in it.

It was nice to take look back to our history and get mesmerized by it. I don't like memorizing the dates but the stories are intriguing

Remember the movie. Night at the Museum. well Malacca Palace has its own Night at the Museum by conducting sleep overs in the museum. How interesting..

My mother's family is from Melaka, even though they speak Negeri Sembilan, I guess it has to do with living on the border of Negeri Sembilan and Melaka. My friends were amazed with the architecture, for me, it looks like any other house on my kampung. I do love these style of windows

We went to the incredibly delicious Cendol place at Jonker street called Jonker88. It was DAMN FREAKIN GOOD CENDOL.
Find them and me on the Internet :p

I loved the interior, it has a lot of character.

It has a lot of photos and memoirs from the past.

Did I mentioned the cendol was damn good. Pure and thick coconut milk and gula melaka, with soft smooth cendols. It was to DIE for.

We side tracked into this place called Tanjung Tuan,  I am  not sure what tanjung is, I think it could be Cape?? It has a lighthouse located on top of the hill where people can walk up the steep hill to it
You could go jungle trekking, but HELL NO!!!... I don't want to do it. So we just took the paved road to the top.
Other than the lighthouse, Tanjung Tuan was said to be a great place to be bird watching since migratory birds come here to rest before continuing on their journey.

Overall, I loved the trip, despite it being unplanned and in a rush. It was all about freedom and I have no one to yell at me when we get lost or call me stupid because I could not read the map as fast as they drive. It was pure joy really. I think I would love to do this kind of trip again, especially after I get a job. Nothing like a mini vacation in our own Malaysia. You would be surprised at what you might find in your own backyard..

My First Facial

My face looks red but strangely smooth. It reminds me of a sunburn, however when I get a sunburn, I will become darker, and more red. However this was not the result of a sunburn. Instead this was the result of my first ever facial. DAMN IT HURTS. Actually it started out pretty well, they apply this cleanser and then this rough textured cleanser (scrub). After than they apply this cream or something and start to massage your face. That massage felt really good. Then HELL BREAKS LOOSE. They said, they were going to treat my blackheads. I thought my blackheads was on my nose only. WRONG!!!! I got so many blackheads all over my face. The lady in charge said, I have a relatively clear face but I have a lot of blackheads at the sinus areas, which is all the area near my nose such as the cheeks, the chin and the between my eyes. If you look closely, you will how red those areas are. The areas were red because they had to manually remove the blackheads using this tool
These are a few tools for removing blackheads and whiteheads. They take the round noose shape end and dig through your skin to remove it. It hurt like hell because I don't ever prod or poke my face. The torture lasted a  for like 30 minutes. By the end of 30 minutes I was ready to give up on the pain. I did not scream but I kept quiet but tears were flowing down my face. The lady took charge and took almost every blackhead. I think she did, she never stopped and I never asked her too, although I almost did. She only said the same thing my dentist said "tahan siket yer" (hold on okay). I was so glad the torture was over, because the next thing they did was to place a mask on top and then let you chill for like 15 minutes or something. I woke up to find swollen and red skin :( However, the skin was smoother.

I admit I did saw black spots at the areas that she poked and prod, but I ignored them. She did took all the blackheads out I think. She showed me the gunk that came out of my face. My face felt tender and raw afterwards. It was definitely an experienced that everybody should do. My friend, who never told me, he has done this before, said its perfectly normal to feel pain during your first extraction, but after a while, there will be less extraction needed. My skin does feel smoother and soft actually despite the redness.

Will I do it again? Why not, if I have the time and money. However it makes me wonder, if I do choose to do an all over body spa thing, will it hurt like a facial? Erghh.. scary

If I Were the Green Hornet

Green Hornet

Write a blog post titled “If I Were the Green Hornet”, and tell us what you would do to stop crime.

Whoa... the Green Hornet. I saw the trailer of this movie and I immediately want to see it. Seth Rogen as Britt Redi and a big name from Taiwan, Jay Chou plays as his sidekick Kato. Seth Rogen looks great in this film, he lost weight just for this film because it will fit the character better. Even better, he does not mind if he gained weight after filming, because he feels comfortable being a chubby bubbly guy. Damn the guy has a lot of positive vibes leaking out of him  Jay Chou, I thought he looked familiar, I knew he was multi talented artist, but it totally went over my head that he was the main actor in Initial D (but I haven't even seen Initial D the movie...gotta get the DVD now..)

What I did not know about this movie is, that the story of The Green Hornet, started out as a radio show in January 31, 1936. When Malaysia was Malaya, a British Colony, before World War 2, before Japanese invaded Malaysia, before the rise of Communism, before Singapore separated from Malaysia and before Nuffnang existed!!!.

The Green Hornet story was incarnated into various forms, in movies and TV shows. When it was incarnated into a TV show in the 60s, the late Bruce Lee, played Kato. Whoaaa, how awesome is the history of this movie. However one thing that remain certain was the usage of the car that was called Black Beauty

Seth Cohen and the Black Beauty

Full view of the Black Beauty with guns, dubs and infragreen light.

Alright back to the original idea of this blog.

"Write a blog post titled “If I Were the Green Hornet”, and tell us what you would do to stop crime"

Well, the Green Hornet is kinda like Batman, Green Arrow and other DC or MARVEL characters that do not have any superpowers but they are bloody rich, fit, good looking and want to fight crime at night. When do they actually sleep anyway?. Anyhow if I were bloody rich, fit, good looking and want to fight crime at night, I have to do something that I can do and that I am doing now.

No.. not whine or complain how sucky life is but use my knowledge in parasites to developed my own weapons to fight crimes

I keep my genetically modified parasites (GMP) inside mice.

The GMP will multiply into millions of GMP

A tissue cyst containing  GMP that can be introduce to the food and water they drink. Another form called oocyst which is a dry sporozoite form can be used in bullet shells to disperse my GMP

Instead of taking days to infect, my GMP will instanly infect the person exposed to it

All if is left is one chunk of meat that can be disposed in a bag

We all need our costumes to protect our identity. True its not original. but can you detect me in the various labs, hospitals and universities in the world?

Also, don't forget a sidekick. Every superhero needs a side kick to things such as  taking a photo of us in our next experiment

Its true though, I do look like an evil genius bent on ruling the world (oh what a wonderful feeling that is) but just like the Green Hornet movie, you have to break the law to protect it, a vigilante that works outside of the judicial system.

Drag

Life has been such a drag? Drag? I don't know if that even mean right. Lots of stuff happened now and they happened all at the same time. The end? Yup or perhaps a new beginning? I have no idea. I  am just trying to finish my thesis while looking for positions in universities of colleges. Ideally it would be at a Public University in Klang Valley, followed by public colleges in Klang Valley, then private Universities or Colleges in Klang Valley. Hopefully a position is available for me.

I would love to pursue PhD, but I would rather be on my own two feet first before I do it. Its a total drag living with your parents even though there is so many things that are free for you to use, everything except freedom and personal choice. As I am typing at this more neglected blog, I have a thesis block, where I can't seem to type anymore.

There is the whole diet, image, friends, relationship, family, work, study, life and self discovery going on, which is quite tiring. I wonder what this year will bring into me?

Hunger

A friend, the trainer, magazines and basically almost any other diet or fitness or whatever health stuff reading material out there, constantly tells us to eat only when we are hungry. This will helps us control our weight and lead a healthier life. I have a few friends that follow this rule and out of curiosity I tried to follow it.

Nope.. it does not work, I get hungrier faster than they and get fuller much later than them. I guess my "container" is different in size than theirs. So as I sat here hungry and burping out the air that has taken space in my stomach, all of them stayed calm and normally.

Erggh.... the easy way out is to go down and get 5 packet instant noodle and some eggs for a quick meal, but no. I wanna see how long I could stand it. I might breakdown and rush down the nearest mamak or blog even more than usual.
