New Year, New Content... No I lied, I just remembered I had a blog

So yeah, apparently this blog still exist. Anyhow, I did so many guilty as hell post about not updating, and it will stop after this sentence although with careful typing with intriguingly placed word one can stretch a sentence as long as hell, if only they managed to sound like an idiot. Done. I had a good chat with a friend at work. I was asking about tips for social media. I got a message from Celcom saying I have used almost all of my 6GB data. I was like whaat? This iPhone is sucking up all of my data. Well not intentionally at least. The apps on the iPhone work so well and that the phone is new and fast which causes me to open up all of my social media apps. I do have a game in there or two, but mostly is just me laughing at other people post and reading articles in buzzfeed.
See just like last month I had to top up my monthly data.

As yes, back to my friend regarding social media, which happens to suck up all my data. It turns out that in order to have a good social media, there is basically 3 steps.

  1. Constant updates
  2. Quality updates
  3. Things that bring people back

This is something that I see whenever I go on my social media.I remember when I kept watching Natalie Tran and Ryan Higa that continuously uploading thing into the YouTube channel and how they were really famous. Somehow they slowed down in the updates and things just got really boring. I mean mostly likely, like the rest of us, they had something else to do in life.

Hmm, but I want to be on social media, but then problems occur within me.

You know how people shamelessly promote themselves, Like OMG what the hell. However I remember rich people love to promote themselves as a brand to be recognize. Can you imagine that I watched Kelly Cutrone in ANTM keep saying that and I am like yeah, so true, and yet here I am keep playing video game and sucking my account dry.

God Dammit.

Well, maybe there is hope is this year? A new position in the company. Which means I am no longer required to be in the museum. It was ultra strange when the office suddenly got quiet. I was like, what happened, where did everybody go. However it's a good challenge and a good change.

My childhood dream came true in a weird ass way. I am making cars now and I am crashing them. How crazy is that.

There is definitely more to that, and I want to submerged myself in it. Besides, I just started paying for a new home. For real bruh! I can't believe I decided to buy a house. As if I got a choice, I am in my early 30s, I should have bought a house like in my mid 20s but then I started work rather late. I guess it's not so bad, after 3 years working and a bit of help from my parents, I managed to purchase a home. I guess I had it easy, but then I don't technically have a car, I used my parents old car, whose gearbox is not working anymore. I also took the public transportation to work and I mostly bring a packed lunch. I deserved that fucking house.

Now my work requires me to travel and it comes with travelling allowance. You betcha I am going to try to save it all my still cooking all my meals. At least the laptop that I am still paying now is making sense. It's powerful enough to play most of my games so I won't be bored.

Pergh..

Constant update, quality update, that thing that made people like. I guess I better whore myself on the media and curate myself into an image that I want people to see.

Death of Blogging

Who knew, that once upon a time ago. Blogging was a hip thing to do. It seemed everyone was doing it. Uploading pictures, telling stories and making money.

Now most people have moved on to other social medias such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. The younger or hipper crowd will go on to Tumblr, Snapchat, and Periscope. The gorgeous ones will have a Vine, Youtube or Keek.

You can't really make money with Facebook unless you are ultra popular or something. Even the likes and post are skewed so that YOU had to pay to Facebook.

That left us with other social medias. I am thinking if you are popular enough companies would recruit you to promote their products.

Sounds fancy.

However, in the end, a personal blog, is personal. It's your life story, your problems, but shared to world. I guess Facebook and other social media has taken that part right now.

It was nice knowing all of you. Some of you I have met in real life and linked together with other forms of social media. In the few years of your word vomits, I felt happy, sad and menyampah. Thanks for sharing. I am going to start my journey again, and if we managed to meet again. We would.

Gatsby Street Fair at Times Square....Free Deodorant, Hair Gel, Hair Color, Shaving gel and Face Wash :D

Yup, the event that I blogged a while ago has already been done succesfully today.

What event? The Gatsby Fair event of course.

We were given a a goodie bag with shirts and fans. We needed the shirt and fans, it was hot and the free shirts, fans, and water at the water cooler was a savior.

There lots of game to choose from that you can get tickets that you can redeem for prizes. The games were free since this was an invited event. Fira is playing minature golf.

This the fishing deodorant game. Quite easy, won it everytime :D. Fira is fishing and showing the world the Gatsby website.

This was coconut bowling, loved the game, quite easy and silly.

The Gatsby wall, fit people can reach the top easily. Not fit people like me, can barely reach the second step. Not enough strength to climb it.

Fira gave her best shot too.

Bull riding anyone? Its looks harder that it is. I got bruises from riding this. When it bucked and roll, I was fine, but when it starts to spin around?I feel like I was in a centrifuge and got thrown off. Ouch!

Football anyone?

One of the FC for the events, I wonder how make for being here? Are they even Gatsby workers or are they Nuffnang workers? Or just temps..

Pop the baloon and ring on the deodorant spray was great!

This is Fira with another friend Ana, and Ana's sister. There was a lucky draw and Ana's younger sister got a RM 800 Canon Digital Cameral. So lucky!!

Although I did not get the lucky draw, I did return with RM 50 worth of toiletries. Not bad at all :)
It was definetly a fun day, although now the bruises are starting to reveal it self, nevertheless it was a fun event. Definetly makes me want to join some more Nuffnang activities :).

I’m going to the Gatsby Deodorant Street Fair

Gatsby makes really cool stuff for guys such as hair color, hair styling products, and skin care products. Now they want to reach the public by organizing a Street Fair or a kind of carnival just like those Fun Fair we go to as kids or still go now.

Date: 17 April 2010

Time: 10 am – 5 pm

Venue: Front Foyer, Ground Floor, Berjaya Times Square, Kuala Lumpur

We can go online at http://www.gatsby.com.my/streetfair to play games and win tickets to the fair. Yes to participate in the games we have to play fair type games such a spot the deodorent, rope skipping or basketball shooting in an online version. There will be ONE weekly winner for each games, the prize for each games is 2 tickets to the Gastby Street Fair. Among the games that will be available is air bag sumo..

??

Yup air bag sumo!!

What is it?

This is airbag sumo, you get to wear these fat suits filled with air bags so that you can push, shove and jump your opponent to victory with out getting hurt.. that much! Sounds like fun!!! However it does look like hard work and that airbag suits seemed very insulating. One can get really sweaty and smelly in there.

Just a quick swipe of Double Protection Gatsby can keep odor and wetness at bay. This deodorant contains o-CYMEN-5-OL + TRICLOSAN to kill odor causing bacteria and Anti Perspirant Agent (ACH) to keep dry and feeling clean. There are 7 fragrances to choose from so you can find your favourite. Lime Green has a natural clean citrus smell that I like.

Hope to see all of you there and lets wrestle in the Sumo suits :D

Food for thought

Pictures stolen from Dr Shah's blog, wow this was a picture taken more than a year ago :D

Had dinner with a few friends on Sunday night. I carpooled with Josh to the place called Bangkok House in Pandan Indah (actually I forgotten where it was even after Hairie took me there :p ). Anyway as usual great food, great friends make any dinner a blast :). Food was naturally good, as usual, and I was sweating so much, I forgotten to bring my gym towel along for dinner, to wipe all the sweat off my face. There were new and old faces, friend that I finally get to see in person (hey mr maguire :D) and new people who just come into the group. A facebook friend brought along his Indonesian friend to dinner. This fella already lived in Malaysia for 6 years and just gotten back from his kampung in Indonesia. He told me you could ride a ferry there. From Johor you can go to Batam and then take a 3 days bus trip to Surubaya... 3 DAYS ON A BUS!!!!..

Anyways he was a nice fella to chat with, a bit bashful but willing to communicate. I just remembered the last time I met these people for the first time. Nervous, excited and well nervous. I kept my cool and composure and just go along with the conversation. Laugh when people are laughing and listen when people are listening. Never try to get over friendly or over talkative unless the other party is doing the same. Its always good to have one person you know at the party but its nice to talk to those you never met before. It was nice. Another dinner, another gossip and another good night of fun. Thanks to all :). Oh yes there is no pictures :D, I was to busy sweating from eating the spicy food :D.

p.s we celebrated Josh's birthday today too with a cheesecake :D, yum!! Happy Birthday Josh :).

The Satay Dinner

Last Saturday was the day of our beloved Kak Pinky arrival to Malaysia from New Zealand. She had a satay dinner planned and I helped her organized the event. I booked the restaurant of her choice, Satay Hj Samuri in Kajang. The one near the Kajang Stadium and across the Kajang Police Station. The event was planned to start at 9.30 but due to Kajang famous traffic jam, most guest arrived near 10pm.

There were 16 people that was on Kak Pinky's list that she gave me on our YM chats which include various bloggers, facebook member, a few of Kak Pinky's friends and her sister. Male guest includes Abg Bear, Dr Shah (Zharn), Dr Josh, Dr Syuk, Hamzan, Ad, Wahdi, Kak Pinky's sisters male friend and conicidentaly a friend that Kak Pinky befriended on her flight home which was actually Josh's church member. Female guest includes Dibah, Dr Shah, Kak Pinky's friend and Kak Pinky's own flesh and blood sister. There were missing guest that were missed dearly which includes Hairie, Hamdi and En Arip. We wished you were here :).

It was my first time meeting Ad and Wahdi after reading their blogs for quite sometime now. Finally I get to see Ad's full face :D and get to see the man behind all the breath taking photographs, nice cars, and saliva inducing recipe, Wahdi :D. You will probably get to read and see the nice looking pictures and their blogs but here is my snippet of pictures I snapped using my VGA camera. Coincidentally, it was Kak Pinky's first time to meet the majority of the bloggers here but since we already knew each other very much through calls and chats, we got along instantly :D.

Wahdi gave Kak Pinky a special and very intriguing present. I was actually baffled of what the food item was. They look like fuzzy pink hamburgers. Kak Pinky was sweet enough to split the food item to us. OMG! they were actually coconut candy sweets!! with melted chocolate marshmallow in the middle!!. WHOA!!! and coconut itself was pink!!!. So cool!! :D

This is Dr Dibah (I did not know she was a Dr until I read Ad's blog) she brought these really cute looking pink frosted cupcakes with the names of the guest that she got written on top.

They were so cute! Unlike other cupcakes I tried, these cupcakes had sweet frosting on top instead of just cream and butter frosting. YUM!!!. I enjoyed the night every much and it was nice meeting old and new friends. Thank god everything went well :D and there were no hiccups with the dinner :D.

Inah, Myself and Soho

Its has been a LONG time since I went out with Inah, the last time I met her is when she came to UPM to bind her thesis. We argued from the moment we chatted at YM till she drove to my house and myself in the car, on where we wanted to go for dinner. We both finally settled for dinner at Soho, a Thai like restaurant.

I had the ice lime tea while Inah had the Syrup Soho. The syrup was bitter and tasted bad, so she opted for plain water instead.

We ordered batter dip fried calamari and Manggo Salad. Both are delicious but not special

Inah ordered the steam siakap with lime. I thought it tasted fantastic because I love sour type dishes, but Inah said the ones in Riverview tasted better :p.

Other than that we ordered Tom Yam Perahu Pecah. Its basically seafood tom yam with crab, fish, shrimp and "lala". The Tom Yam itself is very nice and felt like each spice was blended in just nicely. Sorry for the lack of the Tom Yam picture because we were so busy chatting and eating, all I got to take is the collateral damaged of our table after our dinner :D.

It was nice to just sit down with her and just chat about everything under the sun. Is it weird that we only met twice but we could just chat like we have known each other for years. I guess that is the unique features of blogging, although we never or rarely meet our blogger friends, but once we met them, it felt like we known them for a long time. Blogging rules :D

If you want to go to Soho, from the Silk Highway take the exit to Bandar Baru Bangi and on your left is a Shell petrol station (it could be others.. I forgot :D) just exit into the station. The restaurant is located right next to it along with 2 more restaurants.

Hancock, The Real Superhero?

Before the movie review, let me be my narcissistic self first :D
I got a haircut. I just cut it short on the side and back and have them thinned my hair at the top. Now I got two tone effect with my dark roots showing :D. A new style effortlessly
This has to be the most unique Kancil I have ever seen. The sport rims is one of the highlights, it covered almost the whole tires.
I went to Alamanda today with a new friend/blogger that I gotten to know of recently. Amad had a couple of rough months before which includes, family, financial and relationship problems, which made my problems seemed pale to his. I mean its better for us to talk about our problems that just letting it boil inside and kill us slowly. We had dinner at Pizza Hut to try out their new Pizza Hotdog. I quite like it the combination of a pizza, hot dogs and two type of topping. I am not fond of the relish they put on it but the mayonnaise and ketchup/chili sauce was excellent.

Ok, Amad and I went to see the premier of Hancock today at GSC Alamanda. Thank god I managed to get us tickets using the phone line so I don't' have to line up to get them. Anyways this was a story of your not so typical superhero. His name is Hancock. He can fly, he has super speed, he is virtually indestructible, immortality, and he has super strength. Hancock is also a drunk, has issues with anger plus he has no respect towards others. He was not very popular with the locals. This all changed when the PR whose life Hancock saved, tried to change Hancock life around so that he would be accepted into society. I would tell more but it would spoil the story. Well I don't read comics that much so I would say Hancock is a original story but I could be wrong. I mean Will Smith portraying as a person who is lonely, angry and misunderstood is phenomenal. You can see it in his face and body gesture. I mean you can see his emotionless face but gaze deeper into his eyes and you would feel his loneliness and how hurt deep inside he is. There was many parts of the movie that was funny, I was laughing so loud in the cinema and most of the jokes is slapstick so all of us could laugh at it. What ever you do, don't read professional reviews on this movie. I accidentally stumbled upon one so called professional movie critic and she said that the story make no sense because at one time Hancock was bulletproof but at another scene he got a gunshot wound. I bet the stupid bitch did not see the whole movie becausein the movie, they tell you when Hancock is most vulnerable. One grudge about this movie for me is that, there are some powers shown by the character in this movie that does not seem to be explained at all. Such as heat manipulation to make popcorn pops or the sudden weather changes. Other than that, I think this is the first Black Superhero on the big screen other than Storm from Xmen, if I am not mistaken. Plus the movie is not a direct ripoff from a comic or it could be from a comic or novel but not that popular yet. One thing I learned from this movie, everybody creates this shield so that we won't get hurt and show our emotions. We may act tough and seemed not care even though we are slowly dying inside or we may just pretend we are someone else just so that we could be happy. Sometimes the best way to love someone is to just let them go and let them be loved. I rate this movie 8/10. I hope for sequel because Will Smith makes a great hero. :D

From UPM to KL to Kajang

It was bloody hot that Friday, I got out of the lab quite late. So I had to get something quick and light for lunch because I will be joining a dinner with a few blogging friends.

The sky was extra blue today, and with this hot weather. Its bound to rain later in the evening.

It was so hot, I had to switch on the AC while eating lunch in the car. Better watch for the temperature and fuel, so that I won't be left walking all the way back to the lab in the hot weather.

The haunted Akai radio was my company. Haunted as in, it could switch on or switch off itself, the volume could also change on its own.

I had a errand to be done in KL, so I drove to KL in rushhour traffic. I took a wrong turn somewhere and ended up being stuck in a traffic jam. Tonight also was my dinner with fellow bloggers, I preserveir through the jam. I had great company beside me so the 2 hour drive did not feel so long or so bad at all.

Ok after this I forgotten to take any pictures because I was so busy. On Friday night I had a satay dinner with fellow bloggers and non bloggers alike. Hairie, Arel, Zizan, Josh, Azwan , Rizal and few of their friends (dudes I am sorry I lupa your names, telinga I pekak sikit...). It was fun meeting Josh for the first time, because he is a scientist/researcher and there is stuff that only he can understand that I can talk to. A charming guy, who looks and personality that defies his age. Zizan was Arel's friend that he brought along that was also pleasant to be with, with a good head on his shoulders. Rizal brought along his Malaysian friends and a Brunei friend. The Brunei guy was a bit bashful but the rest were nice to be with. Sorry for the pictures because Hairie and I challenged each other who can eat the most satay. I lost count but I think I had 40+ satay sticks, I think Hairie did too. Please visit Josh or Rizal's blog for pictures

My prince's

Bz day today, so many things done today :)

I can't find my specs, where is it? Find the spec for me I can't find it

Can you find the spec???? I can't see it clearly, everything is so blurry.

Think Budlee, think, where did you put it.. Oh wait.. silly me.. I took it with me to the bathroom. So I can see where I am shaving my face.

Aha after shaving, I wanted to try out this Aftershave my dad got from Emirates Airline. Smells very nice.

I went to Jaya Jusco today at lunch, because I needed a new pillow and a second blanket. Look its a Honda Civic Type R... Naaaaak naaaak I don't mind its a stick shift, I am willing to use a manual if I have this car...

I like claypot chicken with egg.. and cili potong on the side :)

After work, I decided to meet with a prince from Brunei at Pavillion

Where on earth is that prince?

Still waiting with laptop in tow. Never leave it in your car, or risk having your windows smashed and the laptop stolen

Finally met the prince, why its prince rizal a fellow blogger in Brunei. A science teacher and a lucky bastard ( hehehe just kidding ah ) with a new Mistubishi Lancer (envy, jealous, geram, grrrrr.. :p)

What the hell, mlm2 buta pun, Jln Tun Razak still jammed...

See its almost midnight. As I crawled along, I found what went wrong, a car was involved in an accident and block two out of three lanes..
