Buka Puasa at Alamanda

Yesterday, Amad and I had our berbuka puasa at Alamanda. He never tried this place before.

Manhantan Fish Market. I ate here (but not in Alamanda) a few times before and I like it.

They had a special buka puasa promotion, that we both like it. A set, with rose soya bean, kurma, starter and dessert. Yum!

We sat outside because Amad smokes. (Ms Jay would scream at Amad, "I need neck".. I am stenching my neck to show it.. it shows the jaw line and makes you less chubbier in the face :p, oh wait I did loose some :p.. don't matter if people can't see it, my pants, scale and mirror can :D)

This the lovely starter clams or whatever you called in a cheese sauce.. YUM!!! it goes well with bread.

We had the set where there is butter and herb rice, fries, flame prawns and deep fried (fish, squid and oyster).

For dessert we had tiramisu. YUM!! so good.

I just had to have ice cream after that, Baskin Robbin that is, in a chocolate waffle covered cup :D. There was two scoops of ice cream, one was Very Berry Strawberry and the other one was Mint Chocolate Chip.

So good, that you just have to finished off the whole cone :D

Makan-makan with friends :)

This another pending post that I finally get to upload :D. All my makan2 session that happened last week :)

My good friend Amad has decided to open up a burger/roti john stall at Puchong Perdana, not far from his house. I came here after gym just to chat with him, "kacau2" his nephews who is working at his stall and to have my roti john with no mayo or beef burger with out mayo.

Amad let me on a little secret. The spices for roti john actually comes in a freeze dried powder form. So you just need eggs, and cooked meat to make the batter. Hmm this sounds great so that I could make it at home :).

On Saturday when I got Vivi tinted, I dragged Amad out to meet me at 101 mall for lunch. We had lunch at Kenny Rogers. I was intrigue with the Go Green Menu which basically adds a Cesar Salad or Garden Salad to its 1/4 roasted chicken plus one side lines with a muffin. I love Cesar salad because of the Romaine Lettuce and the croutons.

I think I better reduce my Oil Of Olay Total White usage. That stuff really does brightens up your dull dark skin.

Amad had a friend tagged along with us that day. D is blog shy so I had to delete his face. D is a nice guy, a bit shy at first but he is a good guy to hang out with.

During our Kenny Roger lunch, I said to Amad, why not we bring D to William. I been wanting to eat at William since Inah, Ziana, Abg BM and Dr Shah kept having dinner there :p. Besides I want to bring D to the William side. Muahahahah step into the William side my friends and you will never go back :D. Again our blog shy D, with his face deleted :D

Amad had a fever that night, but he insisted on going also to William. Both D and Amad were patient enough to wait for me at 11.30 to pick them up and drive them to Kelana Jaya, which is the location of William :D

Amad had the Chicken Chop Friend Rice, with black pepper sauce. YUM!!! very nice, I really liked this dish :).

D had the staple menu of any chicken lover, the chicken premium :)

I had the beef lasagna. The interesting is this is not lasagna with beef but instead its baked beef with lasagna because there is so much beef in it :)

Hey Dr Chen, you are not the only one with the orgasmic face when enjoying good food. Oooh baby, the generous mozzarella cheese and the juicy meatball beats any hotel lasagna. Oh yeah, my tongue had an orgasm from eating this and my body felt tingling all over :D

Amad and D has the privilege of being my first non family, non UPM friends to ride in my Viva. Anyone wants a ride in the "best for value", "fuel efficient" Viva ;). I love the comments people give when they ride in my Vivi. "WOW", "Hey its very spacious lah in here" "It feels like a Myvi, but narrower". He he, small on the outside, big on the inside :).

Dinner

My mother wanted to try out this new food stall near Giant Jenaris, because my uncle recommends it.
The specialty of this place is the Steamed Rice (taste no difference with rice cooked with a rice cooker), Spiced Fried Chicken and Asam Pedas.
Each dish served with a salted egg, cucumber and this sambal

Also present was this, curry called Kerutup or something. Never heard of it before but I am familiar with this type of curry before.

The Assam Pedas was cooked in this claypot. Mother chose stingray as our fish in the dish. This Assam Pedas taste really good and is actually very pedas (spicy). Noticed I forgot to take many pictures because I was hungry and the food was great. Drinks are bad and good. Do not order the juice, very watered down. However do order the Assam Boi and Bandung Soda. Those who comes who lived in Johor knows that Bandun in Johor has Ice Cream Soda added to it, to give that fizzy and unique taste. Great place if you enjoy Assam Pedas

Kedai Makan William

HAHAHAHA!!! finally I got to go where Shah, Lily, Ziana, Inah and Awie went to have a marvelous dinner. WILLIAM!!! Hairie took me and his mom to this place, Hairie pointed the way while I drive. It was not that far and the direction leading there was rather simple.
I love Ribena so I ordered the Ribena ice blended with longans in them while Hairie and his mum shared this gigantic Ribena lychee. As you can see half of the mug is lychee, I love my ice blended Ribena with longan, better that 7 eleven sluppee (btw Ribena is a blackcurrant drink for those who never heard of the brand)

Hairie has this amazing, cheesy, large, juicy spaghetti cabonara with meatballs. OH MY GAWD!! the meatball is freakin huge, the taste was heavenly. Hairie gave it an A+.

Hairie ordered his mum the Nasi Goreng Ketam (Crab fried rice). Another shocking dish because it was so tall. No I am not kidding you never see fried rice this tall. There were like a soft shell crab, around 5 medium sized prawns, generous amount of fried crab meat all piled on top of a tom yam fried rice. You can really taste the tom yam in the fried rice. Something seafood lover should have

Then this, Chicken Premium, Dr Shah's favourite with a pandan chicken, 2 chicken sausage, 2 different kinds of chicken ham (i think the dark one is chicken..), some minced white chicken and a dollop of mash potato in the middle with a pool of gravy.

I had the specialty of the night, which is Lamb Shank with butter rice (I think it was shank.. dunno la forgot). The reason I forgot was that the lamb was HUGE!!!!! and the meat practically fell of the bone. The Dal curry was fabulous with generous amount of veggies. Even the well flavoured buttered rice had a couple of sweet cherry tomatoes hidden in it. I think the green stuff is the mint veggie thing that you have with Nan bread. I love this dish it was perfect. I give a 4.0 GPA :D

Dude I was SO FULL!!! the food was delicious, Hairie mum was charming character to be with. Many thanks to Hairie for showing me the way here and for treating us dinner. Hmm now which restaurant should I bring Hairie along to reply this fabulous meal.. (pssst we go to riverview nak and have all the butter prawns we wants, Muahahaaaa!!!! :D). Uncle William must be very happy that us bloggers are promoting his business, my laboratory friends (the human ones) wants to go this place too. Haiya.. rosak2 diet nih....

I want.....but...

I want to go home, but I have to fulfill my responsibility as a RA for my prof because my incomes depends on it.

I want to have that Egg Mc Muffin with Sausage Mc Value Meal along with a free Egg Mc Muffin coupon, but to Mc D is not a healthy choice and driving to McD will use up petrol, waste money and contribute to global warning.

I want a small fuel efficient new car, but can I accept that it won't be as fast, as big, as safe, as a status symbol (it seems driving the big, old, petrol guzzling Merc, gets you more respect in Campus)

I want to loose all this excess weight, but can I stick to the regime?.

I want a better and healthier integumentary system, but that rough cracked soles, the forever itchy and flaky scalp, oily skin and block pores required a heavy duty, time consuming regime.

I want to speak clearer and less muttering but it requires a lot of effort to open my mouth, slow down when speaking, use clarity instead of volume, and reducing the twang when speaking English and Malay.

I want to solve all this problem but I got to stop making excuses....
