Just a blog

Gosh, I felt like I had so many things to write about. So many things going through my head, I felt like telling it all on my blog, but then too much “meroyan” is not good, especially it’s about the same old thing. Well to summarize it all, sometimes I feel so insecure and so worthless when I start to feel stress. Am I smart enough? Why am I still fat? Why can’t I be taller? Are they looking at me? Why is no one looking for me? Why am I still a student, life is not fair, bla bla bla. Then I hit the gym and then I saw people who are fitter that I am, people who lost more weight that I am, those that looked better and so on. However after actually really lifting weights and then running on cross trainer, all I could think was… I am so tired…. I want to stop… When will this end…. I need water… I want to sleep… Yep all that insecurity was just sweated out into the IKEA white towel I have. All I want to do after that is eat and then have a good night rest. People do say I held my head up high, but god knows sometimes I want to crawl into a hole. I think its pretty normal as long I have someone that I could go on and on and on and on about the same thing and then I feel a lot better. Talking is good to let the stress out as long as the person agrees with me :p. Gym is good too, and its always a positive thing, although sometimes I still feel like crap, but at least I am a lighter crap. Food is a double edge, sometimes I will feel good but then the guilt of eating too much suddenly sink in later and on the weights. Okay enough blabbing about things people already know, how about some pictures…

I was invited to another makan2 with a new group of friends that I just met. So I had to bring my signature Oreo Cake. The irony of this cake is that not a single Oreo is used. Just the semi sweet of the cake and the sweetness of my homemade butter frosting gives it the Oreo feel. The cake itself is an instant Tegral Moist cake from Baguzz cake shop, but the cream is something I made from scratch.

This is an old blender it is like more than 15 years old, but still working. I always relate Kenwood with blenders, so I find it weird when there is Kenwood speakers.

Just throw the mix together and let it be mixed by the blender. I would do it by hand, but the mixture is so thick that is gets tiring.

Pop it in the oven and let it bake till the centre of the cake comes out clean. The hand blender is also another family heirloom. This blender existed as long as I can remember. There were many wonderful baking moments with this blended. My mother used to make cakes when I was younger, but now I guess its my turn to do it.

The finish product, all wrapped and ready to be taken to the event.

She and her new hubby (they are newly married couple) live in one of those many high rise in Sentul, which is quite near to some of my friends condominium.

One of the host of that night. The host told me that she found this cat in a "longkang" or ditch, or was it someone else found it.. Anyways, look how adorable he turned out to be. Always playful and mischievous. Quite cute when he was chasing fingers and then he was discipline by his "dad" in the house :)

Up in the Sky

I had an invitation to attend a gathering among friends in KL. They live in those fancy residential building. I mean it has to be fancy if you got a waiting lobby in your residential building.

We had a BBQ at the pool area, and what a pool area it is. It has those infinity pool where the pool is design that it look like it could flow forever (infinity)

One section of the pool had the walls had clear reinforced glass walls. So cool, I saw once on TV, a Loft in New York, had similar type of pool but it had clear reinforced glass floors on the edge.

The pool faced KLCC, how amazing is that.

See, proof that I was there :D. I wonder if my sister is working, she could have seen me here :p.

The weather was great, it hot but yet there was a cool breeze. Plus the pool we were in were quite cold. Okay I lied, it was freezing!!!! We either had to swim or huddled together (those who can't had to huddled together)

The view from my friend house was amazing too. You can see the KLCC Convention Centre and the surrounding buildings. I love the view from high above :).

Since they lived right in KL, jam are the norm, even if its 12am :p. I had a great time meeting new and old friends, swimming, playing pool games, laughing my heart out (till I got a stomach cramp) and eating good food. Sorry no photos because I feel people need their privacy (actually I was swimming and eating all the time so no time to click2 here and their, somemore my friends had DSLR camera which beats my VGA phone :D) I had so much ginger ale, I am still burping till now :). A special thanks to my dear friend who invited me to your wonderful home. Thank you to all who was there and made the event even more successfull It was fun meeting all of you again.

Santini Buffet

On Saturday, was my family and I had our berbuka at Santini KLCC. The buffet was reasonable at RM 39 per person.

I started out with a salad, with Samosa and Ayam Limau Purut

Then continue with Jambu Madu, langsat and a piece of cheese cake.

My younger brother and sister ordered this fries, twisty potatoes and wedges set with a delicious dip on the side.

I continue on with more desserts of Marble cake, bread pudding, chocolate cake and more cheese cake.

We ordered a basket of garlic bread, which was so good :)

I then took some pasta salad, beef rendang, chicken kerabu, sambal paru and more chocalate cake. Its was definitely very satisfying for all of us. What to do after a full stomach at KLCC? Shopping of course :D

A Day Out

Going to KL is definitely something I love to do now. Some people call it foolish to travel all the way from Kajang to KL. Come on, its not that far really, if there is no traffic jam, I can arrived in like 20 minutes.
While waiting for my friends, I was just capturing the sky line. It has been raining almost every day now. I cannot be more grateful since I have a car to use.

I went to Time Square to celebrate a birthday dinner with a couple of friends that I just met. Apparently all 5 of them are banned from appearing in blogs, so I am the only who can show my face, so there is no picture of the heavy steamboat dinner we had.

After that, a game of bowling between 5 of us, one guy skipped this activity.

After bowling we went to lepak at one coffee shop when I noticed this Ferarri being parked nearby, I just cannot resist snapping a picture of it. To young men came out of the car, which is suprising because I don't think you can afford this car and that young age. Probably their daddy's car... :p
