Fractional CO2 Laser Skin Resurfacing

I used to have relatively flawless skin. My pictures are not photoshopped its just that when all the imperfections I seen its not caught on film. My skin is just very oily, enlarged pores and I have blackheads. Pimple was not a major issue since it only one or two will come out. Afterwards when I shaved off my sideburns I noticed that there was a large pigmentation on my right cheek. I have no idea when it formed but it got worse when I had the sudden acne breakout.

Back during the carefree acne free days

Then because of stress that I induced upon myself because I could not control myself, my acne came out and it came out with a vengeance. When I removed it, it left many scars on my face.

My acne scars frames my face like it did when I was 13.

The pigmentation on my right cheek was aggravated by the acne scars and treatment

This was taken about 30 minutes after the procedure. I was told that it would be "hot" and there would be a burning sensation. It was true actually, my face felt like it was on fire for a while. I was told to take some pain killers if the pain was starting to be uncomfortable. Which it did but after a Panadol, my face just felt tingling.

It looks like sunburn but with a distinctive uniformed patterned of the laser

I was told, my face would look like this for about a week but I would see improvement in a few days. A minimum SPF 15 sunblock is compulsory after this treatment. No toner, no scrub, no peel of mask and no harsh cleanser should be used on the skin. I really can't wait to see the end result of this treatment. This is an article about Fractional CO2 Laser Skin Resurfacing.

A good friend of mine, Dr Chen, did this treatment. He has other treatments available at his clinic Mediviron at UOA building. He is a great friendly doctor that will put your at ease regardless of whatever you need to do.

The Rubber Band Effect

The Rubber band Effect. Tie a weight to a rubber band, then watch it as the weight pull it back down. Cut the weight off, and rubber band snaps up right to your face. Yes, that is my analogy on how the weight loss of Ramadhan and the feast of Syawal acts. Maybe some of you have more will power than others and just plainly refuse anything coconut based during raya (what are you ah, Mat Salleh is it) or you have incredibly high metabolism to burn everything off or you have that type of body that failed to gain or loose weight (or your scale is stuck or broken).

I am not that concerned or am I. These low rise slim fit Billabong jeans, feels incredibly fit today. The scale tells me the same thing as my mind did. The weight gain will only come, about a week after the feast.

Should I cry? Nope. Worry? Not at all. I will accept this as being normal. Regardless of whatever the reasons of people give when they gain weight, the cause of it, is because you eat more calories than you are able to burn it off. Unless you have a medical letter from a specialist saying that you have thyroid problem.

So just do it, fasting again, not eating after 7, no fast food, no rice, lift weights, run on the treadmill, jog in the park, drink replacement meals in a glass or go to a slimming centre. What ever that is that you do that works for you to control your weight. Just do it.

More important of all, is to be happy and comfortable with yourself.

Photogenic Shadow

I just had a haircut, and as usual, came whoring with my Blackberry 8310. I got my usual hair cut and my usual barber and took a relatively usual after picture. Somehow though I looked a bit different here. My eye brows, they look like they are connected in a huge curve that starts at the corner of my own eye. My friend said, what did I do to my eye brow. I told him, this was the exact same brow he saw me last week. The shadow and light must have created that weird line that made my eye brow endless. The sharp shape of the eye brow comes from my mother. We have the same eye brows, thick and points quite sharply. So sharp, if we don't smile, it as seemed we are angry.

This is the face that scares people off. Its my "I am not thinking of anything face". The corner of my lips drop down, my eyes misshapen, my cheeks drop and that sharp eye brow completes the mean and unfriendly look naturally.

This is when I feel a bit crazy. I have to open my eyes, raised my eye brows a litter, smile just a little bit to pull my cheeks up. I feel uncomfortable and crazy, but it ends up being a better face. This is the reason I hate taking photos when someone tells me to pose. I feel weird, that is why I love all my candid pictures. I look normal, refreshed and friendly. I guess that is why it turns people away when I feel comfortable. Comfortable = ugly uncomfortable angry bored face. Crazy uncomfortable = friendly, presentable comfortable face. So weird eh? some people look great no matter how they they adjust their face, I guess that is why some people are photogenic..
